New BF3 server software (R20) with new features!
BF3 R20 has been released today and offers some new features for admins. Admins should now be able to send messages to individual players. Also the more eye-catching “yell”-messages known from BC2 should be available now. A new pre-round and warm-up system will be introduced and use a new variable. For more details on R20 please check the official DICE post on battelog here.
Updates for Procon Frostbite, iOS Procon and Droid Procon which will let you make use of the new features are already on the way. Please check the forum and stay tuned on the blog!

@jimbouk1977: You pay NOTHING to phogue.net so why don’t you make a donation. You are paying for the use of the layer on a server, you are not paying for the layer itself. Ignorant tool.

Has anyone had this problem, we use game servers and this patch messed up our map lists and took away maps and when we go in and restart the server and it is not following game servers but procons list, anyone else having this problem and is it a just wait and see thing

We had this problem on one of our two servers. I did a full re-install with full wipe, then re-entered setups. Works fine now. I also had to restart our procon layer after the install.

@Dan Lee you’re wrong, our providers are paying licence to Phogue when using ProCon on layers… so jimbouk1977 is right, we pay Phogue for ProCon, and twice if we use the mobile app. So what’s up with the update ? Can’t use some assault maps, please fix it fast.

A certain well-known company has almost finished the next generation of RCON software. This one will blow them all out of the water – oh and it’s completely free. All I can say for now. Expect news in a couple of months.

Everyone’s kind of right. We essentially tax the people charging for procon hosting. Myrcon also takes a percentage of the iOS and Android costs, though we’re pretty easy on when we invoice out (if ever) since Decker and leomar75 make these apps entirely – they are not hassled over money, since the money is just used to fuel the projects anyway.
Myrcon / Phogue.net has a monthly bill of ~$300 in hosting charges that we absolutely love paying independently. We bill out for about $700 each month, but receive about 2/3′rds of this.
Myrcon paypal account currently has 407.21 AUD in it. Not one cent of the money that we have billed out for in the last four months has gone into the pockets of any of the developers, but if Phil asked he would get all of it as I don’t have time to work on Procon and this domain should be renamed to philk.net
So far the money has gone towards the hosting charges and towards the recent UI competition.
If it were up to me I would just open the books, but I don’t know if I would piss some hosts off by releasing that information. Either way – most of us have jobs and do stuff in our spare time.

When selecting a player by name we no longer see his or her PB Guid. The EA Guid is now displayed for both fields. Is there a way to get the PB Guid back?
